Polite Retries

(Conventional Emergency Profiles, General)

HGDefinitionMob%26Port.jpg

Selects the number of times that the radio attempts to transmit a polite emergency mode Call (see Emergency Type). A polite call is when the radio waits for a channel to be free of radio traffic before attempting to transmit. Polite Retries are aborted when an acknowledgment (Ack) of a successful emergency transmission is received back to the radio. This selection applies for the current Conventional Emergency Profile.

HGImportantNote.jpg

Polite Retries are automatically aborted by the radio when the Limited Patience Timer of  the DotYellow.png referenced Conventional System expires, and Impolite Retries automatically begin.
